Service Personnel De-mob Course
Level Two

For some time we have been running individually designed courses for service personnel who wish to go into pet training / behaviour. Because we appreciate that you already have certain canine/people skills, we prefer to design a course to meet the needs of the individual.

You will find that training owners of pets is quite different from training service dogs and instructing service personnel. As an ex WRAF Instructor, and a successful civilian trainer of longstanding, I understand the skills you will need to learn in order to build a business in the civilian world.

Owners are looking for a friendly, but professional service, and expect a high standard of customer care. A few will be competent, and merely require the correct advice. Some will struggle with seeing their pet as being in need of leadership and control. Most will be struggling with the practical skills involved in training their own dog. This is why they are willing to pay you!

The training they need for their dogs varies greatly from the work you have done with service dogs. Methods vary greatly, and we can teach you through a combination of home study and attended courses, to build a great big ‘tool box’ of training methods suitable for pet owners.

We will design a course for your individual needs. It will carry full accreditation, and be recognised by the public. It will count towards your Kennel Club Accreditation, which will be essential to your future success.

If you wish, you may, on graduation, be invited to join our team of Pet Professionals, working under our guidance until you are confident to ‘go solo’, or maybe staying with our team.
