This course will be of interest to those wishing to improve their understanding of canine behaviour, and the relationship issues between people and dogs. This is a practically based course, with hands on work to show how behavioural training can improve the human / canine partnership. Everyone will have the opportunity to work a dog in ‘support dog’ mode, and to practise bridge and target training .
This course will revolutionise the way you think about your dog, and your dog will love the new you!
We shall look at:
- Basic behaviour problems, how and why they occur, and how to modify them
- Modern training techniques including targeting and bridge training
- Good Citizen Dog Scheme
- Canine Communication and why we need to understand it
- Breed specific behaviour
- An holistic approach to canine behaviour
- Great games to play with your dog
- Natural healing for your pets
- Basic healing massage for your pets.
Fee: £230 includes coffee/ tea and biscuits, and a light lunch.
Well behaved dogs welcome, dogs with problems can attend by arrangement. No aggressive dogs will be present.
This course is in line with the Kennel Club’s Accreditation Scheme for Instructors, and will count towards your accreditation.
